By Grand Prix dressage stallion De Niro, Hanoverian Stallion of the Year 2008. De Niro was reserve Champion at his stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf with the highest dressage score. . He was also one of the best jumping stallions at the Verden stallion market in 1995.In 2001, won the German Championships of professional riders and in 2003, the German Dressage Derby in Hamburg.
De Niro passes on his excellent rideability and fantastic movements as well as type and expression to his progeny. Their achievements in the dressage ring up to advanced level have contributed to De Niro’s fantastic dressage breeding evaluation of 147 points. Together with his sons, he has an incredible impact and influence on breeding.
De Niro’s dam Alicante was an active brood mare for only a few years. All four of her sons are successful competition horses, with De Niro and his full brother Dimension, approved stallions. Her sire, Akzent II, is regarded as one of the best sires of rideability in modern sport horse breeding producing many Approved stallions and expensive auction horses.
De Niro's sire, Donnerhall, holds the highest dressage breeding value index (271) of all stallions. Donnerhall won more than 65 FEI Level and Grand Prix competitions and competed successfully until he was retired at 17-years of age.
